GLOBAL HEALTH ACTIVITIES:
2004 Semester at Sea The Institute for Shipboard Education/University of Pittsburgh Studied aboard a cruise ship for a semester and circumnavigated the globe, visiting 10 countries throughout Asia, Africa, and South America.
2008 Global Medical Brigades Tegucigalpa, Honduras Obtained medical supplies and medications, coordinated their distribution and provided direct patient care at mobile clinics throughout Honduras.
2010 Clerkship in OB/GYN Spring, Manila General Hospital, Manila, The Philippines Worked in OB/GYN clinics and inpatient wards at Manila General Hospital and attended didactic conferences to gain exposure to and knowledge of the practice of medicine in the developing world.
06/2017 Instructor, Pediatric Fundamentals of Critical Care Services Kathmandu, Nepal Had cross-cultural experiences observing clinical care in local pediatric and neonatal ICU’s, then taught in PFCCS course for pediatricians throughout Nepal.

2003 - 2006 Department of Psychology, Stanford University Worked with then-PhD candidate Nicholas Anderson in The Lee Ross lab to investigate the role of affect in negotiations.
2008 - 2010 Department of Medicine Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Worked with Dr. C. Jessica Dine to evaluate physician decision making as it relates to cost-conscious care.
2013 - 2014 Department of Medicine Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Worked with Dr. C. Jessica Dine to evaluate physician decision making as it relates to cost-conscious care.
2014 - 2017 Division of Critical Care Medicine, Department of Pediatrics/Northwestern University-Feinberg School of Medicine/Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago Worked with Dr. Kelly Michelson on a study to assess the impact of resilience on adverse psychological outcomes on parents of PICU patients. Had secondary qualitative projects to explore providers’ perceived barriers to timely autopsy report delivery to families (which led to a quality improvement project), and to assess barriers to palliative care in rural communities in Illinois via the Greater Illinois Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition (GIPPCC). 3
