COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES:
2003 Community Care Day Emotional Health Committee Member. Aided in coordination of a health program at a local middle school in which a geriatric group and sixth graders came together for an afternoon of health topics and interaction among the different generations.
2004 Community Care Day Chairman for Health Screening. Organized health screening for a student run community health fair to provide blood pressure, glucose, and lipid panel assessments with subsequent referrals as deemed necessary.
2007 - 2008 Camp Compass Volunteer. Camp Compass is an annual one-day camp created with counselors and activities devoted to help children who have lost a family member to death, better prices death and incorporate coping skills into their daily lives. I participated with the arts and crafts team as part of the daily activities.
09/2012 By The Hand Volunteer. By the Hand (BTH) is an after school program with several locations in impoverished, inner-city areas throughout Chicago. It focuses on helping students excel in school and create better lives for themselves. I volunteered in a 7th grade classroom to assist students in completing homework assignments and in developing good life skills

The program develops transformational leaders in medical education through evidence-based, collaborative learning, and reflective practice. LEAD is targeted to early career to mid-career professionals with faculty appointments who are aspiring to or are already in leadership roles in medical education. 01/2023 - 10/2023 Women's Leadership Learning Collaborative. Empowers MCW's Women Leaders through 9 half day sessions the cover personal development and fundamental leadership skills. Provides networking with other MCW women leaders and participation in group coaching. Created a project to enrich the department and advance my relationship with my department chair.
03/2023 Heroic Public Speaking CORE. 2 day intensive class to learn techniques for enhancing public speaking skills. This is an introductory class to the advanced, master level program that I will pursue in Fall 2023
