COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES:
05/22/2017 - Present As State Chair of the Bleeding Control Initiative of Wisconsin I have developed a robust "Stop the Bleed" program. The "Stop the Bleed" course traces its roots to the mass casualty disaster at Sandy Hook Elementary School, after which the Hartford Consensus' recommendations were adopted as formal initiatives by the White House and the Department of Homeland Security. The American College of Surgeons is spearheading the effort, which is to train all citizens of any background how to stop life-threatening hemorrhage as bystanders/immediate responders. In collaboration with the Statewide Trauma Advisory Council and the Regional Trauma Advisory Councils, we have ensured training of our first-responders and have extended training to the public in schools, churches, and community programs. One of our proudest accomplishments thus far is the adoption of the State of Wisconsin 2017 Assembly Joint Resolution 111, indicating that the Wisconsin State Legislature recognizes and supports the Stop the Bleed campaign, and established March 31, 2018 as Wisconsin Trauma Awareness Day.

GLOBAL HEALTH ACTIVITIES:
05/2017 - Present In light of the chronic and overwhelming need for medical supplies in Venezuela we have begun working with a physician's group in Venezuela to provide medical donations. The group is directly affiliated with one of the medical schools in Caracas and is a major teaching hospital.
