2008 - Present I have been a ward attending for general medicine at both VA as well as at Froedtert Hospital for atleast 4-6 weeks every year since 2008 and have been a teaching attending for a number of residents. 05/2012 - Present Kevin Ciriacks, Medical College of Wisconsin, Under my supervision, Kevin evaluated the effects of simvastatin and ezetimibe in lowering LDL cholesterol in subjects with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, results of which have been published in the following manuscript.
01/2013 - Present Mitchell Guenther, Medical College of Wisconsin, Under my supervision, Mitch analyzed the effect of adiposity distribution on adiponectin levels, results of which have been published in the following manuscript. He is also a co-author on a publication authored by Dr. Ahl
06/2015 - Present Sindhu Kilakkathi, Medical College of Wisconsin, Under my supervision, Sindhu is working on different methods of measurement of adiposity among African Americans. She is analyzing a couple of different databases to find best anthropometric predictor of cardiometabolic risk among African Americans. A manuscript is under preparation.

2013 - 2015 Scott Ahl, DO, Fellow in Endocrinology, MCW, Medical College of Wisconsin, Under my supervision, Dr. Ahl has shown that circulating adiponectin levels are associated with lower waist-to-hip ratio and better metabolic health. This manuscript has been accepted for publication.
2013 - Present L. Rosemary Rengel, MD, Fellow in Cardiology, MCW, Medical College of Wisconsin, Under my supervision, Dr. Rengel has demonstrated that the adipose tissue secretion of adiponectin differs based on adipose tissue dept. This abstract was presented at the AHA Scientific Sessions and Dr. Rengel was awarded MCWAH Research Award for the year 2015. This manuscript is in preparation for publication.
2013 - 2015 Namrata Dass, MD, Fellow in Endocrinology, MCW, Medical College of Wisconsin, Under my supervision, Dr. Dass has shown that the effect of adiposity on vascular endothelial function differs based on gender among young African Americans. This manuscript is under preparation.

2015 - 2016 Kristin Kopish, MD, Medical College of Wisconsin, Under my supervision, Drs. Webber and Kopish have completed metaanalyses looking at the effect of pre-operative glycosylated hemoglobin on post-operative outcomes among patients with type 2 diabetes. Kristin is presented this poster at the Endocrine Society, 2016 and also won Best Poster award at Department of Medicine Research Day.
