ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE - MCW SOP:
Led faculty in revision of curricular outline and adoption of entrustable professional activities as curricular outcomes. Oversaw development of curriculum content and policies.
Managed, created, scheduled, delivered, and assessed faculty development programming for new and experienced faculty. This includes hour-long sessions, training sessions, and a series of mini-sessions for focused topics.
Developed and implemented annual review and goal-setting process for all faculty.
Implemented a co-funded faculty program, partnering with adjacent health systems to appoint ten co-funded faculty pharmacists to the school of pharmacy.
Organized and led recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of all faculty (pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical sciences).
Supported, mentored, and coached faculty in building a new school of pharmacy.
Collaborated with other schools and departments in the College to provide teaching in the pharmacy curriculum.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE - MANCHESTER UNIVERSITY COP:
Recruited and hired the Director of Assessment, the Director of Instructional Design, and the Pharmacy Practice Department Chair.
Led a process to articulate the College’s values as part of the College strategic planning effort. Also worked to develop the College’s strategic planning process and the plan itself.
Collaborated with school and college faculty, Manchester College’s Information Technology department, and building designers to select and implement state-of-the-art instructional technologies for the new school.
Led faculty and administrators in creating policies and procedures regarding the curriculum; academic standards and progression; remediation; promotion and tenure; annual evaluations; faculty awards; and many others
Collaborated with architects, designers, and school and college administrators in the design of Manchester’s new building in Fort Wayne, particularly academic spaces (classrooms, laboratories, interview rooms) and office spaces.
Co-led a faculty workgroup to develop a longitudinal service learning program for Pharm.D. students.
Revised and implemented a faculty peer mentoring program. Scheduled and facilitated faculty and staff development sessions. Implemented and administered an internal grant program.
Supported an Interim Pharmacy Practice Chair in faculty recruitment, practice site development, and departmental management activities.
Continually mentored and coached faculty through a variety of academic situations and issues.
Initiated a process and supported faculty in developing the philosophy and structure of the Integrated Pharmacotherapy sequence, a 4-semester, 13-course sequence integrating study of basic, pharmaceutical, and clinical sciences.
Created and maintained academic schedules, including the academic calendar, class schedules, registration timelines, and course development and approval timelines.
Developed and implemented comprehensive professional development plans for faculty and staff. Created orientation programs, including a New Faculty Academy aimed at faculty in their first academic role.
Designed and organized annual academic orientation sessions for returning second- and third-year pharmacy students.
Led faculty in revising the school mission and goals.
Developed and compiled the faculty handbook, pharmacy bulletin, and annual faculty activity report.
Participated in writing and revising the College’s successful ACPE precandidate, candidate, and focused visit reports.
Worked with students with academic progression issues, including discussing options and creating alternate plans of study for students with delayed progression through the program.
Mentored faculty in developing their professional practice and academic careers.
Led faculty in creating the new school’s Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, including program-level ability based outcomes, curricular mapping, and the curricular philosophy and structure.
Supported the Department Chairs and Director of Experiential Education while Executive Associate Dean.
Supported the Directors of Assessment and Instructional Design in establishing programs for curricular and programmatic assessment; electronic student portfolios; instructional technology selection and implementation; and faculty development in instructional design.
Designed and organized a “Trustee Academy” for Board members to experience what a day in pharmacy school is like.
Developed a certificate program policy for the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum which encourages faculty to develop supplemental certificates or tracks in specific areas. Developed, coordinated, and taught in a certificate program for Leadership in Pharmacy Practice.
Led implementation of Digital Measures’ Activity Insights as an electronic faculty activity database. Created faculty activity template and custom reports to access needed information for various purposes.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICE - ST. JOHN FISHER WEGMANS SOP:
Recruited and hired all faculty and staff members of the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration (20 faculty). Developed job descriptions, recruiting strategies, and recruitment materials, for all positions. Recruited faculty at ASHP Midyear’s Personnel Placement Service.
Led faculty in creating, implementing, and monitoring a strategic plan for the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration.
Mentored and advised all faculty on a wide range of issues, including pedagogy, exam writing, scholarship, career development, student progression, campus/clinical site balance, and leadership.
Developed, implemented, and revised annual evaluation policies and procedures for department faculty. Created school policies for promotion and tenure, faculty development, mentoring, and peer evaluation in collaboration with other faculty and administrators.
Developed all pharmacy practice faculty clinical sites for the school through collaboration with practitioners and administrators at community, hospital, and long-term care sites in Rochester, Syracuse, and Buffalo. Maintained relationships with key contacts at these sites through frequent contact and site visits.
Led monthly department business meetings and periodic course planning retreats.
Created and implemented an onboarding and orientation procedure for new faculty.
Participated in writing several ACPE reports for accreditation team visits.
Developed and negotiated affiliation agreements with all faculty clinical practice sites.
Led and directed faculty in developing and revising team-taught courses in our curriculum.
Facilitated several interprofessional educational efforts between the Schools of Pharmacy and Nursing.
Created a co-funded community practice faculty position with Wegmans Food Markets, the first of its kind in the Rochester area (to begin July 2010).
Together with the Director of Experiential Education, created the basic structure of IPPEs and APPEs. Developed and implemented a policy for appointing adjunct faculty to academic rank.
Created and developed a system for tracking, assessing, and assigning faculty teaching workloads.

CLINICAL SERVICE:
08/1998 - 06/2005 Pharmaceutical Consult Clinic, UW Family Practice Residency Created and implemented a service to review and assess complex patients’ medication regimens.
10/2000 - 10/2002 Collaborative Practice Agreement in Anticoagulation, UW Family Practice Residency Designed and entered into the first collaborative practice agreement in the state with attending physicians to manage their oral anticoagulation patients. Supplanted by anticoagulation clinic in 2002.
05/2001 - 06/2005 Pharmacy Practice Residency with emphasis in Primary Care, CHCCW/ University of Wyoming School of Pharmacy Created, designed, recruited for, and implemented the first pharmacy residency in the state. First resident started in 2002. Obtained ASHP accreditation in March 2004. Served as director and primary preceptor.
08/2002 - 06/2005 Anticoagulation Clinic, CHCCW With pharmacy resident and clinic providers, designed and implemented a pharmacist-run service using point-of-care INR testing. The clinic also incorporates family medicine and pharmacy resident and pharmacy student education.
