Clinical Programs
10/1994 - Present Program for performing transcatheter coil occlusion of a patent ductus arteriosus in children and adults. This previously had been exclusively a cardio-thoracic surgical procedure.
01/1995 - 06/2000 Creation of physician daily and on-call schedules
01/1995 - Present Program to reorganize the division of labor within the department of Pediatric Cardiology into PICU and non-PICU based inpatient care.
1998 - 2007 Program for performing transcatheter closure of atrial septal defects in children and adults. This had previously been exclusively a cardio-thoracic surgical procedure.
1999 - 2007 Program for performing transcatheter closure of patent foramen ovale in adults. This previously had been exclusively a cardio-thoracic surgical procedure.
2005 - Present Created a policy to standardize the use and techniques for performing bedisde atrial electrocardiogram in the PICU.
2009 - Present Responsible for scheduling EKG interpretation in Division.
