When appropriate, psychological treatment included pain management, biofeedback, and relaxation. Conducted comprehensive assessments of clients referred for psychological evaluation and testing. 05/2008 - 05/2009 Doctoral Intern, Division of Neoplastic Diseases and Related Disorders, Froedtert Memorial Hospital and The Medical College of Wisconsin. Perform psychological evaluations and provide individual psychotherapy for inpatients as a member of the interdisciplinary Palliative Care consultation team, typically addressing complex pain and symptom management, family systems issues, and end-of-life concerns. Provide weekly individual psychotherapy for patients in the Palliative Care outpatient clinic. Perform psychological assessments and provide psychological treatment for inpatients and outpatients diagnosed with cancer and related disorders. RESEARCH INTERESTS/EXPERIENCE:
Master’s research examined spirituality as a moderator of the experience of anxiety in the face of stress.
Doctoral dissertation research examined the relationships among spiritual coping, level of psychological distress, and severity of PTSD symptoms following traumatic injury.
